Dakota Bound
Once known as the Alaskan Cates', we are now exploring the world of what over the past 8 yrs has come to be known as the "lower 48" to us. Our new home is North Dakota and on our trip here we came across such varied scenery.
Alaska is so vast and held many surprises as we traveled the Alaskan Marine Highway thru such ports as Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka.
Washington of course had grand trees and mountain scapes.....along with really nice weather.
Hmmm....Idaho just passed right on by as we only traveled thru a very small portion of it.
Montana was absolutely beautiful. The mountains and various colors spread thru the hills and valleys were very pretty...Montana is also where we spent two of our travel nights.
Then onto North Dakota...we saw some great canyonlands and field upon field of huge sunflowers.
I am sure we will come to love our new home as we did Alaska...well...maybe not quite as much, but it has been an adventure.
